Your question

My landlords is saying that as I live in an HMO he can evict me with two weeks notice. Is this right?

Your answer

No.  Your landlord probably thinks that you have a license and that this means he does not have to evict you through the courts.

However (unless you are a lodger and your landlord shares living space with you) your landlord MUST evict you through the courts after following the proper procedures – which will include serving the correct form of notice on you first.

If he forces you to leave without getting a court order first, this is unlawful and you can claim compensation.
