If you have a tenancy, then your landlord should not enter without your consent. If your landlord carries on doing this you may be entitled to change the locks – see our guide below.
However, if you have a residential license, particularly if you are a lodger renting a room in your landlords own home, your landlord will probably have the right to enter your room. Although they should respect your privacy and only enter at appropriate times.
