I live in a HMO. What bills should I expect to pay?

It depends mainly on what your tenancy agreement says.  So take a look at it.  For example, some landlords will include the cost of gas and electricity in the rent.  Others will invoice you for this separately.

So far as Council tax is concerned, your landlord is liable for this to the Council but has the right to recover a proportional part from you.
